Toledo Pride 2012 welcomes Spearz!
We’re thrilled to introduce our 2012 headliners…Spearz! Based in Minneapolis, this all-boy Britney Spears cover band recently opened for former Destiny’s Child member and solo R&B artist Kelly Rowland at Twin Cities Pride. We can’t wait for them to hit the Glass City!
Other entertainers for this year’s event include:
A local favorite, Arctic Clam will be taking the Toledo Pride main stage for the second year. The Toledo-based rock cover band is comprised of long time musicians Nicole Khoury, Mick Mason, Steve Knuerk, and Scott Hayes.
Casey “3pm” Clark
Toledo DJ Casey “3pm” Clark’s has been featured in MIXER Magazine and his music heard on MTV shows like The Osbournes and Undressed, as well as in several independent films. His electronic/pop sound will leave you wanting more.
Christopher Norman is a producer, singer, and songwriter based in Ann Arbor, MI. His extensive background in techno lends a lush sense of space and a unique perspective while his keen ear for hooks gives his songs a catchy pop sensibility. The result is an unconventional mix of warm sounds and soulful vocals over landscapes spanning the organic and electronic.
Master T.C. has become popular with audiences via his live performances, outrageous personality, originality and showmanship. His 2008 USA Showcase performance in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel was voted the best live performance in Hollywood’s major industry poll. Currently, he is recording his debut album which pays homage to hip/hop, punk, bubblegum pop, R&B, glam and metal.
Electronic DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold called Kenneth Thomas “without doubt one of the most promising young DJs in the electronic scene right now.” Hailing out of the Detroit, the birthplace of Techno, KT stands out with his emotional and melodic sound. Although often categorized in the trance vain, his ability to blend and explore all dance music genres are what makes his live performances such a unique experience.
We are also pleased to welcome local cover band The Rivets to Toledo Pride. This trio is comprised of Kendrick Harper, Cari Langenderfer and Matthew Beier.
Wideband Network crafts their standout synth-driven sound by pulling inspiration from a diverse array of genres and artists, including Depeche Mode, Hall and Oates, Peter Gabriel, Timbaland, Underworld, Madonna, and U2 (just to name a few).
You can also look forward to our Fabulous Drag Finale featuring our special guest RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2 contestant Mystique Summers, along with some of the area’s favorite drag queens and kings including Deja Dellataro, Felaciana Thunderpussy, Amber Stone, London Asia, and Bois W/Outskirts.
